State & Federal Tax Incentives

The federal Empowerment Zone (EZ), Empowerment Community (EC), and Rural Community (RC) incentive programs are available to business located within any of more than 170 federal zones throughout the United Sates.  These programs offer a federal tax credit of up to $3,000 annually per qualifying employee.

Federal Empowerment Zone Program

The Pennsylvania Employment Incentive Program or PA EIP benefits Pennsylvania businesses when they hire employees from any of the programs target groups.

The program provides up to $7,200 in state tax credit for each  eligible new employee hired.  Many employees eligible for the PA EIP will also be eligible for the federal WOTC or WTW tax credit programs as well.
